Te Whanau Waka Ora are our mobile units built to provide confidential holistic welfare services in times of need.
Our units are mobile so our services can be delivered immediately.

Every whānau has different needs, and no single form of support is right for everybody.
We help identify therapeutic and wellbeing pathways that are timely, culturally appropriate and centred on the needs of the person and their whānau.
This may include connecting with counsellors, psychologists, trauma-informed practitioners, rongoā Māori providers, health services and other qualified professionals.
Our role is to listen, help clarify what support is being sought, assist with referrals and advocate for services that respect whakapapa, identity, lived experience and whānau goals.understand everybody has different needs so collaborate with hand picked professionals to secure timely, professional whanau-focused therapy for our whanau.
The Koha Exchange™ is a tikanga-based network that brings together people, knowledge, skills and resources to respond to whānau and community needs.
Rather than treating support as something delivered only by formal service providers, we recognise the value already held within whānau and communities.
One person may offer knowledge, another practical help, another time, transport, kai, advocacy or connection.
The exchange is grounded in manaakitanga, reciprocity and collective responsibility.
It is not about measuring every contribution dollar for dollar. It is about recognising what people can offer and helping those contributions reach the places where they are needed.
By us, for us, with us.
